Named in honor of the Oregon born "dean of American cookery", the James Beard Public Market is to be a daily, year-round, indoor-outdoor market place, located at the west end of the Morrison Bridge in downtown Portland

The proposed concept includes 120-permanent vendor stall "modules", restaurants, teaching kitchens, 200-seat catered event space, business center, cafes, and outdoor day-table market.
